Open Discussion at the Finissage of the Open Space “We’re staying!” at BERLIN GLOBAL
While gentrification is not unique to Berlin, it is occurring here with particular speed and devastating impact. For the finissage of the Open Space “We’re staying!”, BERLIN GLOBAL and the Open Space artists Barbara Bernardi, Linda Paganelli and Vincent Voignier invite you to an open discussion with activists, artists and other Berliners.
Rents in Berlin are rising inexorably, currently by around 17 per cent a year. Newly built flats are unaffordable for many. The city’s tenants are under enormous pressure. But many Berliners are not giving up the fight: Through demonstrations, self-organisation and solidarity, they have been campaigning for decades against displacement and the loss of affordable housing and urban space.
You are warmly invited to join the conversation over coffee, cake and snacks.
Moderation: Margarethe Neubauer
Discussion: Barbara Bernardi, Linda Paganelli and Vincent Voignier, as well as interview partners from the Open Space
Please note
Admission only with a valid ticket (free of charge). Punctual start, later admission is unfortunately not possible. The event will be held mainly in German.
