On International Women⁺’s Day, the WELTSTUDIO becomes a place for inspiring stories, creative ideas, and genuine encounters. Whether big or small, young or old: Everyone is invited to exchange and network to show how women and girls shape the world.
Programme:
WELTSTUDIO | 11 am – 5 pm
Create a giant map of Berlin with us and make places, paths, and stories of women⁺ and girls⁺ visible. Draw, craft, and mark what is important to you – facilitators will support you in multiple languages. Additionally, design your own button with a statement or celebrate inspiring women⁺ and girls⁺ with a handmade postcard from the print workshop. There are no limits to your imagination.
Media Studios | 11 am – 5 pm
What do you want to say to the world? The professional media studios at BERLIN GLOBAL are ready: Whether young or old – your voice will be heard! Today, everyone who wants to can record their very personal message for International Women⁺’s Day. Experienced facilitators support the recording.
The contributions will later be edited into a large mosaic and published on our website.

Journalist and facilitator Ulrike Werner shows the basics: From gripping storytelling to technology to recording. In the media studio at BERLIN GLOBAL, participants can try it out directly. After the workshop, you can continue at home.

The history of women⁺ in BERLIN GLOBAL! The tour provides insight into the exhibition and the role of women⁺ in politics, culture, and everyday life in Berlin.

Reading Lounge
1 pm – 1:30 pm | 2 pm – 2:30 pm | 3 pm – 3:30 pm
Brave heroes, big dreams, and exciting adventures – this reading journey takes children from 3 years old into the world of strong girls⁺. In the colourful lounge, everyone who wants to can lounge in the cosy cushions and listen to the stories. A play and picture book corner awaits especially young guests.
