Join us on our annual full-day Dekoloniale City Tour with numerous fascinating historical and contemporary stops, featuring activities by our invited experts from academia, art, and activism. This year, we will be exploring Berlin-Mitte on foot and by public transport.
Our tour begins in the Afrikanisches Viertel, where we will visit a co-designed portrait exhibition created by the local community. Afterwards, we will explore the public space interventions of the Dekoloniale Residents.
We honor previously overlooked resistance figures from past and present and trace the centuries-long entanglement of Berlin and Brandenburg-Prussia in global slavery and colonialism. The tour concludes with a visit to the collaborative exhibition “Dekoloniale – what remains?!” at the Museum Nikolaikirche.
