The open-air art exhibition “Plastik und Blumen“ [sculpture and flowers] would regularly take place in Treptower park between 1957 and 1988. Every exhibition was visited by tens of thousands of people, there was a catalogue, and some works of art were purchased by the district of Treptow. For many sculptors, having their sculptures presented in this manner was the perfect way to combine sculptures, nature and people.
